Salhouse is situated on the edge of the Norfolk Broads National Park within the Broadland District of the county of Norfolk in a rural setting approximately 6 miles northeast of the city of Norwich. The Baptist Chapel is found on Chapel Loke, signposted from Lower Street, at the side of the post office. |

A fellowship of believers has met in Salhouse for more than 200 years. The church declined and was reformed in 1986, when Pastor Dean Olive took over the pastorate. After 3 years he returned to USA and Pastor David Bugden became the pastor. He retired in 1992 and since then the church has been without a pastor.
The church consists of a few faithful members that meet to worship their Lord and Saviour. In the summer the congragation is swelled by visitors to the Broads, some returning each year.
Visiting preachers faithfully bring the Word of God to the fellowship each week.
The constitution ensures that either the Authorised or New King James Version of the Bible is used.
Christian Hymns is the church hymn book.

The chapel is a grade II listed building and even has an original oil lamp hanging from the ceiling. Across the car park, is the kitchen (once the stables), where the visiting preacher and any visitors are entertained to lunch. Behind the kitchen is a well, which fascinates visiting children. To the side of the chapel is a grave yard where the graves of many a saint can be found.
The love of God our Saviour towards man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we had done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. Titus 3 : 4 & 5
